caveman vs 6'5 guy
This was my 2nd fight of the night. I didn't expect to fight twice, but this kids original opponent didn't show up and Paul asked me to fight. It's funny, because earlier I saw this kid in the locker room after my 1st fight. He was gearing up but visibly disappointed. I talked to him a bit and he told me how he really wanted to fight but his opp hadn't shown up. He told me he had been training about 6 months and he was 6'5 195. I'm 6'3 and was 170 at this time. I remember thinking to myself, "we would have been a nice matchup". I genuinely thought about asking Paul if he wanted me to fill in, but then I said nah... im hungry. I was watching the next couple of fights, day dreaming about the lazy moon pizza i was about to get on my way home (and almost left to go get to be honest), when Paul came and asked me if I wanted to fight again. I knew right away who he was referring to. "the tall guy right? fuck it ill fight him". I really didn't feel like it though. It's kind of corny but I got this feeling of destiny; it just felt like I had no choice but to do something i didnt feel like doing and fight this kid that night. Alhamdulillah everything worked out. I lost a decision but I'm glad this kid got to work, and I pushed myself just slighty harder than I planned to, and i'm glad i did.
